From time to time we like to showcase a particular item that we have in our collection.

Today, I’d like to draw your attention to this very fine 19th century rosewood and tulipwood ormolu mounted kidney-shaped pedestal desk.

The desk is undoubtedly made by a London firm and, although we have three possible sources, we cannot say who made the desk with any certainty. All the materials, mounts and cabinet work are of the highest quality and the desk remains a one off but currently unattributable.
