Rare early 19th century Regency period rosewood and brass mounted Pembroke supper table. The rectangular top with book matched rosewood veneers is crossbanded with a painted and penwork banding and a brass bonded edge. The highly figured top sits above a brass mounted and inlaid frieze with a single drawer to the front and to the reverse. The oak lined drawers are made with solid rosewood fronts, with a gilded crossbanded border that frames two original gilded ormolu swan neck handles. The drawer fronts are flanked on both sides by gilded lozenge-shaped mounts above a gilded reeded moulding. The supper table is raised on very fine brass mounted rosewood faceted legs, standing on the original brass capped castors.
