Early 19th century Regency period rosewood and brass inlaid sofa table.
The figured book-matched veneers are decorated with brass inlaid dots and flanked with brass stringing and crossbanded with rosewood. The frieze below is made with two concealed full length mahogany drawers and matched on the reverse with brass inlays and gilt brass mouldings.
The top sits above a simulated ebony upturned tulip pedestal which is supported on a circular brass inlaid and gilt brass mounted rosewood base and raised on four out stretched legs that terminate on the original gilt brass caps and castors.
The inlaid circular plinth base is decorated and consistent with the top.
