Early 19th century Regency period rosewood inlaid demi-lune tea table.
The demi-lune top with a lively rosewood veneer is crossbanded in birds eye maple and ebony stringing. The top is hinged and opens up to a table with twin gate leg action to the reverse. The inside table top with crossbanded birds eye maple is above a boxwood inlaid frieze. The frieze has a useful and unusual feature of a full length oak-lined concealed drawer. The tea table is raised on four tapered inlaid legs that terminate on brass capped castors.
