circa 1810 - 1820
Pair of 19th century Regency period brass inlaid card tables.
The figured tops are crossbanded in rosewood and cut brass inlay and brass stringing. The lively rosewood veneers to the tops retain patina and figuration with fine brass workings to the inlays.
The tops swivel and open to reveal old green baize playing surfaces and lay flat on the frames. The top edges are inlaid with brass stringing and sit above shallow friezes.
The frieze to each card table is intricately cut with brass motif designs and fleur de lys to the rounded corners and sit proudly above brass strung and rosewood veneered pedestals. The pedestals sit on brass inlaid plinths that rest on concave supports.
The games tables are raised elegant out stretched rosewood and brass inlaid legs that terminate on the original brass cap castors.
