In the renaissance style, the table has the exact brass mouldings, carvings and form as a table that. by repute, was exhibited at the Great Exhibition in Hyde Park in 1851.
The marble specimens are as follows: Green: possibly verde antico; Red:possibly red porphyry; and sections/segments red and yellow: Sicilian jasper surrounded by green porphyry and quartz.
Note: The eminent firm of Holland & Sons were at 19 Marylebone Street, London, in 1843 and moved to Mount Street I 1852 and supplied much of the important furniture for Osborne House, Queen Victoria;s house on the Isle of Wight
