Early 19th century Georgian fruitwood tea caddies in the figures of an apple and a pear.
We have decided to sell the fruitwood apple and pear as a set; although they were bought separately, they are ideal to be sold together for their colour and patination.
The hinged lids are crisply carved with button stalks that are original to the apple and the pear. The interiors of both caddies show traces of the original tin lining and they are both fitted with the original metal escutcheon plates.
