George III Sheraton West Indian satinwood inlaid cylinder secretaire desk.

The inlaid top is fitted with the original gilt brass gallery above a cylinder top that opens to reveal a fitted interior secretaire drawer. The six short and one long drawers are oak-lined and retain the original ‘axe’ head handles. The secretaire drawer pulls out and is fitted with a ratchet leather writing surface above one long drawer below.

The concave shaped satinwood and purple heart inlaid tambour cupboard door below is fitted to the inlaid tapered legs that stand on the original brass cap and castors.
