George III 18th century period Cuban mahogany linen press.
The moulded cornice sits above two recessed panelled doors that open to reveal five linen trays. The mahogany fronted oak lined trays are original and slide out on mahogany mouldings and support the linen trays.
The top section sits on two short and two long graduated drawers that are all made in oak with fine dove tails. The top drawer is stamped with the maker/retailer's impress mark and the drawers retain the original steel locks and gilt brass handles.
The linen press is raised on ogee bracket feet and the piece breaks down into two pieces.
