The chest on chest has a slender cornice with goncalo alves cross-banding and a bevelled moulding, above an inlaid frieze and boxwood fanned medallions, satinwood fluting and barber strung banding. The top section consists of three short and three long graduated ash-lined drawers and is flanked with inlaid and cross-banded canted sides. The bottom section has three long graduated drawers above grand ogee moulded bracket feet. The bow fronted chest on chest retains the original gilt brass handles, escutcheons and steel locks.
