20th century 'Sheraton style' mahogany partner's pedestal desk.
The rare oval-shaped breakfront form of this desk retains a brown tooled leather top above ebony lined frieze drawers flanked by carved patarae. The contrasting bookmatched veneers and ebony stringing to the drawer fronts retain their original handles. The oval mahogany inlaid pedestal doors are flanked with small rosettes and husks of bell flowers and open to reveal three graduated drawers. The identical arrangement of frieze drawers and cupboards is repeated to the reverse side of the desk.
