The free standing desk top has recently been relined with a green gilt tooled leather, the thumbnail moulding to the top sits above one long and two short oak lined frieze drawers and repeats to the reverse. The drawers are fitted with 'Gillows & Co' stamped brass locks with the original Georgian style brass handles to the fronts. The carved and turned protruded moulding sits below stiff leaf carved corners and highly figured burr walnut serpentine shaped and panelled sides.
The pedestals are carved and decorated with a shell and trailing flowers to the rounded corners. The pedestals consist of three graduated drawers to the front and fielded panelled cupboard doors to the reverse and raised on crisply carved 'oversized' walnut feet.
