The davenport top has the original burr walnut gallery above a green tooled leathered writing slope. The rectangular burr walnut top is veneered with a solid walnut thumb-nail bevelled edge above a highly figured frieze. The frieze is fitted on the right hand side with a concealed ink and stationery tray that pulls out when unlocked.
The four full length mahogany-lined graduated drawers retain the original Bramah locks and keys. The davenport has matching faux drawers to the reverse side and the burr walnut panels to the front and rear which are recessed with solid mouldings.
The davenport stands on shaped bun feet and concealed brass castors.
