Early 19th century Regency period box.

The cream lacquer background is decorated with chinoiserie, the figures depicting workers in a natural environment.

The lid opens to reveal some pink paper lining with dividers and a pin cushion.

The main body is highly decorated with chinoiserie motifs and the small box is raised on gilt brass ball feet.
