Pair of 18th century George III Chippendale period mirrors.

Carved open fret, rectangular frame, with a centralised acanthus leaf surmounted on elongated 'S' scrolls and flanked with flower heads and stiff leaf carvings to the shoulders. The pierced sides are hung with intertwined acanthus leaves and foliage, with a carved central flower to each side of the plate.

The mirror plates are certainly period and could be the originals as the backboards to the mirrors are 18th century and look undisturbed in general. The open fret carving to the apron is centralised with a 'C' scroll pendant and flat leaf carving.
