The marquetry inlaid Boulle drumhead clock is veneered in red tortoiseshell with a finely gilt cast and etched dial with Roman numerals and heart-shaped arms.
The back of the clock is veneered in rosewood and engraved with the clockmaker's name, 'Payne, 163 New Bond Street, London'.
The clock is a high quality eight-day chain fusee timepiece and is in fine untouched condition.
