The bookcase has a crisply carved open fretwork swan-neck pediment with scrolled ends which sits on a dental stepped cornice. The fifteen-pane astragal glazed doors enclose three adjustable shelves which sit on top of two short and two long mahogany lined drawers and carry later replaced handles. The bookcase stands on its original shaped bracket feet.
